What to see in Caorle during your beach holiday in Northern Italy?
A place suspended between beach, history, and nature.
Golden beaches, clean sea, the marina, and the historic seaside village with its colourful houses. This and much more is the town of Caorle, also known as Small Venice, a miniature Venice with narrow streets and little squares, typical restaurants and taverns, where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish, accompanied by local wines.
There are multiple attractions that make this holiday destination unique: the “living cliff“, thanks to sculptures created by artists from all over the world, the enchanting little church of the Madonna dell’Angelo, a symbol of the city, and then the “Casoni”, typical sheds made of ditch reeds built by the fishermen who inhabited the lagoon, to be discovered on foot or by bicycle, thanks to bicycle touring routes.
The Duna Verde area, which is also part of the municipality of Caorle, is immersed in a splendid pine forest: the ideal place for those who wish to remain in the heart of nature, in splendid beachfront camping villages.
On your bicycle, in just a few minutes, you can reach the colourful fishing village while admiring enchanting natural landscapes. A cycle path and a pedestrian path in fact connect Duna Verde to Porto Santa Margherita, the centre of Caorle, and also to Eraclea Mare.
