Cycling Route from Caorle to Bibione

Looking for a cycling route in the Caorle area? Do you love exploring the countryside on two wheels? Then this bike route along the Litoranea Veneta from Caorle to Bibione could be just what you are looking for. The route covers around 50 km and takes you away from the coast to discover the countryside, rural landscapes and waterways between two popular seaside resorts on the Venetian coast.

Discovering the Litoranea Veneta by Bike

The landscapes along the Venetian coast are shaped by a vast lagoon environment, where canals intertwine with rivers flowing towards the sea. Here, water is everywhere, creating a unique landscape that is best explored slowly. One of the most beautiful ways to discover this natural environment is by cycling along the Litoranea Veneta, a network of routes following the coast and connecting towns and seaside resorts along the Northern Adriatic.

The Litoranea Veneta connects Caorle with Bibione, Jesolo and Chioggia. It is an extensive route that can be completed in one journey or divided into several stages. When planning your cycling itinerary, you can choose the section that best suits the places you would like to visit and the time you have available.

Today, we suggest a cycling route from Caorle to Bibione.

A scenic cycling route from Caorle to Bibione

This bike itinerary starts in the centre of Caorle, but you can also cycle it in the opposite direction, starting from Bibione. For all our guests staying at Pra’ delle Torri, there is also an easy way to reach Caorle by bike: the cycle path starts right in front of the main entrance to the village.

Pump up your tyres, fill your water bottle and keep your eyes open to enjoy the scenery… Ready to set off?

From the centre of Caorle, follow the cycle path along the marina, passing the fishing boats and the waterfront. Your first landmark is Ponte Saetta, at the edge of the town. From here, continue towards the Ecopark, Caorle’s main new parking area. Take the SP59 provincial road and follow it for around 2.5 km. This is a relatively busy road, so take extra care. Once you reach the bridge over the small canal, cross it and turn right onto Strada Riello.

Continue along Strada Riello on this Caorle to Bibione cycling route until you reach the Lemene River, which flows alongside the small cluster of houses in San Gaetano. Follow the river towards Località Marango, where you will reach the SP42 provincial road. This is another busy road, with plenty of traffic, so take care as you cycle along it for approximately 3 km.

The cycling route continues…

When you reach the village of Sindacale, cycle through it and continue along Via Villaviera towards Castello di Brussa. From Castello di Brussa, head back towards the SP42 and continue to the small town of Lugugnana. Along this part of the route, you will be surrounded by cultivated fields, country houses and small rural settlements.

At the crossroads in Lugugnana, briefly rejoin the SP42 before turning onto Via Musili. This quiet road winds its way through fields of corn, soya and wheat. You will be surrounded by the characteristic landscapes of the Veneto countryside, dotted with farmhouses and agricultural estates. Following Via Musili, you will reach Terzo Bacino, a reclaimed area next to the Bibione lagoon. Here, cycle along Via Santo Falcomer, with a canal running beside you and reflecting the surrounding countryside and vegetation.

Once you reach the SP74 provincial road, simply cross the bridge towards Bibione and continue along the cycle path, which will take you directly into the seaside resort. Your cycling route from Caorle to Bibione has come to an end, but your adventure doesn’t have to. On the way back, you can once again immerse yourself in the colours and landscapes of the Veneto countryside.
