Are you staying at one of the beautiful camping villages in Caorle or Eraclea Mare? Do you love exploring the area on two wheels? Then discover the Livenza Riverside Cycling Route!
Cycling through nature along one of the most important waterways in Eastern Veneto is a unique experience. This bike route connects the Adriatic coast with the countryside inland, linking up with the Litoranea Veneta waterway in Caorle, which you can reach via the cycle path running right past Pra’ delle Torri. Along the way, you’ll discover beautiful rural landscapes, with rows of poplar trees breaking up the wide-open countryside.
The Livenza Riverside Cycling Route
If you are staying at hu Eraclea Mare or Pra’ delle Torri, start by cycling towards the centre of Caorle, following the cycle path along Via Selva Rosata and Viale Altanea. The route begins in the town centre, where you can join the blue cycle path. Continue towards Ponte Saetta, located at the entrance to the town, and then carry on to the Ecopark car park.
At the roundabout, take the SP62 provincial road, which follows the course of the Livenza River. From here, you’ll be cycling between blue skies and open fields, surrounded by cultivated land and peaceful rural landscapes stretching towards the horizon.
The old Venetian village of Ca’ Corniani
Near Ca’ Corniani, you’ll come across an old agricultural estate. This is a fascinating place to step back in time and discover an example of a traditional Venetian rural village.
In the past, farmers lived and worked here as part of the estate. Today, only a few people still live in Ca’ Corniani, but the village is home to a renowned winery where you can enjoy excellent wine tastings and organise lunches featuring local specialities.
It’s a perfect stop to add to your cycling itinerary in Caorle.
The “GiraLivenza” cycle path
